Great question! The prolonged shelf life is actually the result of two processes that allow for what we call shelf-stable milk. First we use ultra-high temperature processing, also known as UHT pasteurization. This first process sterilizes milk by heating it up to 144°C (292°F). When the milk reaches this temperature, all bacteria is eliminated. Once the milk has been pasteurized it is put into aseptic bottles. This unique aseptic bottle blocks any heat or light that could potentially alter the taste or quality of the milk. This allows our milk to keep that great taste, while staying fresh and lasting longer. To learn more about this process, click here!
After you open it, yes, absolutely, any Milk2Go bottle has to go in the fridge. But our 200 mL, 310 mL and 325 mL bottles are shelf-stable. This means that they do not require refrigeration until they are opened. Attention moms and dads! This allows you to stock up and save some precious room in the fridge. For the ultimate Milk2Go experience, remember these three easy steps: chill, shake, enjoy! To learn more about shelf-stable milk, click here!
It's important to differentiate between added sugar and natural sugar. Yes, you guessed it, milk contains natural sugar, also known as lactose. Given that Milk2Go is made with fresh milk, this is where some of the sugar content in Milk2Go comes from—how sweet of Mother Nature.

No, it does not. This protein-packed workout shake has tons of endurance as well: it is shelf-stable. Meaning, you can leave it on the shelf until the expiry date on the bottle. If you open one and you don’t finish it right away – given how delicious it is, that almost never happens – make sure you refrigerate it. We recommend that you shake it well and enjoy it cold.
